Wichita Sports Forum Voted One of the Top 10 Multi-Use Sports Facilities

SportsEvents Magazine Releases the 2017 List of “Top 10 Multi-Use Sports Facilities

The Wichita Sports Forum has been selected as one of Top 10 Multi-Use Sports Facilities in America from a list of 31 facilities nominated by SportsEvents editors. Over 9,000 votes were cast to determine the final order of the Top 10 Multi-Use Sports Facilities. The June print and digital issue of SportsEvents will share this list with sports events planners from across the country.

Ink construction was the General Contractor on the Wichita Sports Forum featuring six basketball courts that transition into ten volleyball courts, six sand volleyball courts that transitions into a sand soccer field, a turf soccer field that is also a baseball infield, four batting cages, and a 35,000 sq. ft. trampoline park with an obstacle course.

Wink Hartman II, President of Ink Construction, the general contractor for the Wichita Sports Forum said "there was immense public interest in this project from the start. People were coming by to check on the progress almost on a weekly basis, and the owners did an awesome job of knowing their target audience and designing a world-class facility for them."

The Wichita Sports Forum features six basketball courts that transition into ten volleyball courts, six sand volleyball courts that transitions into a sand soccer field, a turf soccer field that is also a baseball infield, four batting cages, and a 35,000 sq. ft. trampoline park with an obstacle course.

Pepperjax Grill opens East Wichita location. Ink Construction handled the tenant finish of the new restaurant located on north Rock Road.

Wichita Sports Forum Is Fully Open

The basketball/volleyball courts, sand volleyball courts, soccer field/ baseball infield and batting cages are now all open in addition to the already open trampoline park. 

Wichita Sports Forum Trampoline Park is Open

The trampoline park inside the Wichita Sports Forum is now open, just in time for the Holiday break. The park features 35, 000 sq ft of trampolines in various sizes and angles so you can bounce, flip or stuff a basketball. There is even a trapeze section to live out your circus dreams. The base is welded steel covered with thick padding. There is also an obstacle course that will challenge even the toughest competitor.

Ink Construction has added Eddie West, Charles Chappell and Mason Hewitt as additional traveling Project Superintendents to support our growing restaurant brand customer's needs. Ink Construction is national builder of restaurants working closely with a variety of brands and franchise organizations. "We continue to see increased demand for timely, quality construction with our hospitality clients. This demand has allowed us to also grow as a company, while maintaining strong customer relationships" commented Wink Hartman II, President of Ink Construction.  Wink also noted that additional hires are on the horizon.

We're Raising the Walls at Wichita Sports Forum

This week the Wichita Sports forum really took shape with the exterior walls being raised into place. The first day completed 15 panels 31' tall which is half the length of the east wall. On day 2 of the exterior panels the south wall was completed. The south wall panels are 37' tall and weigh about 100,000 lbs each. The entire process of raising all the exterior walls will just under a week.

Wichita Sports Forum Takes Shape

The new Wichita Sports Forum begins to take shape with large sections of the concrete floor poured. Once the floor is completed, framing will take place to pour the wall slabs on top of the floor to be tilted into place.
